Never Solo is a movement rooted in climbing and community. We’re building a climbing world where prevention, education, and accountability are part of the culture, and where no one faces harm alone.
Who we are
Climbers, for climbers.
Never Solo is a community-driven organization dedicated to the intervention and prevention of sexual abuse in rock climbing. We work alongside gyms, guides, non-profits, brands, and everyday climbers to make sure support is visible, accessible, and trusted.
At the center of our work is the Never Solo Information and Support Hotline: free, confidential, 24/7 chat-based support for survivors and for the friends, family, and witnesses supporting them.
Why we started
Climbing is built on trust.
We tie in for each other, spot each other, and follow each other into remote places. That trust is what makes climbing a community. It is also what makes harm so hard to name when it happens, and so easy to stay silent about.
Many survivors never disclose because of fear, shame, or uncertainty about what comes next. Too often, there has been nowhere in climbing to turn. Never Solo exists so that no one has to navigate those moments alone.

Train gyms, coaches, and guides to recognize warning signs, set clear boundaries, and intervene early.

Put free, practical resources on every gym wall, in every gear bag, and at every crag.

Help organizations adopt clear policies and response plans, so harm is taken seriously everywhere.
