A climbathon is a full-day endurance event. Climbers fundraise ahead of time, then climb as much as they can from open to close. Every send is logged in Kaya, and the climbers with the highest volume win a prize package.

Register and fundraise
Climbers sign up on your gym’s event page and collect pledges per climb or flat donations from friends and family.

Climb all day
On event day, climbers take on your walls from open to close, at their own pace, with their own goals.

Log it in Kaya
Every send gets logged in the Kaya app. Never Solo tallies the logs and verifies the results after the event.

Top volume wins
Climbers with the highest volume climbed win a prize package. A Top Fundraiser award honors whoever raised the most.

What hosting really takes.
Hosting is built to fit inside a normal day of operations. Your only direct cost is the in-gym promo kit. Every other dollar comes from your climbers’ fundraising.
Your only cost: $350
Covers the in-gym promo kit: banner, posters, event scorecards, hotline cards, and social graphics. Funds raised go 100% to Never Solo.

Climbathon FAQ
What does hosting cost our gym?
Only the $350 in-gym promo kit. Everything else is funded through your climbers’ fundraising, and 100% of funds raised go to Never Solo.
Does our gym need to be on Kaya?
Climbers log sends against your gym’s routes in Kaya, so your current sets need to be listed. If they aren’t yet, we’ll help you get set up before event day.
Who can participate?
Any climber at any level. Volume rewards consistency over grade, and the Top Fundraiser award gives everyone a way to win.
How is the winner decided?
The climbers with the highest number of logged sends during event hours win the prize package. Never Solo verifies all Kaya logs before announcing results.
Can we add our own prizes or sponsors?
Yes. Many gyms add a membership, gear, or local business prizes. We’ll help you coordinate and recognize them.
